We had rain all day. We had easy day, just visited Lee Ufan Museum, Chicyu Art Museum, and Ando Museum and relaxing late afternoon time in the hotel to rest. Some of students visited the public bath in the island.
It was the busy, but fulfilling day! Weather was nice, and we continued our journey to Naoshima island, where filled with contemporary art. Kyoto Day 3 is filled with cultural experiences! Some students explored the city of Kyoto on their own, some of them took a tea ceremony class.
The evening of Kyoto Day 3 continued with more of cultural experiences. We walked round the district of Gion and some of the students visited to the theater to see Japanese traditional dance and play. We didn't forget to find a great restaurant to have more unique experiences to end our days in Kyoto!
We left the hotel early to visit Kiyomizu-dera first. We are getting comfortable to take public buses and subway to travel around in Kyoto. The temple and shrine we visited today were on the hills. We sweat a lot at Fushimi-inari in the evening, but felt good! We started our time in Kyoto from a quiet Zen temple, Genko-an. After our visit to the crazy busy metropolis Tokyo, Kyoto was so kind to our spirits. We spend a day in Roppongi to immerse ourselves into the contemporary art and architecture. Here is some snap shots of us having great time! |
